As an EV driver, I fully support the city taking over the L-2 chargers throughout Dunedin and setting up a paid system.

I personally would rather have an abundance of paid locations available than have to wait for a charger to open up just to get a free charge. It would be great to see the city advocate for charger installs at shopping centers, parks, schools, hotels, and other places where folks spend an hour+, in addition to new construction and near apartment complexes/condos for those without easy access to charging.

Only 1 of the 2 stations at the Fine Arts Center has been working for the past 2 years - you can see data in the presentation. Duke has not seemed to care about fixing it, even as it has been reported as offline or not working many times. With a paid system, there would be incentive to repair/maintain the chargers.

I also support an idle fee, esp. in downtown where parking is already scarce, to make finding an open charger easier & less frustrating.
