2.f) First Reading of Ordinance 20-30, amending Section 109-20.1 of Division 2 of the Land Development Code to revise the date providing for an additional term for termed out board members.
25 NY Ave 212
Clerk, repeat of previous, no need to read
Being a member of the Board of Adjustment and Appeal, I spoke favorably before the last LPA meeting.
Time has allowed me the opportunity for further reflection. I now speak to you in opposition.
Two of you face an election and I expect you both to vote “yes.”
Three of you constitute a majority. The termed-out dates were well known to all of those involved.
Voting “no” tonight is a vote “yes” for your original intention. Now at the last minute, we have a “technical glitch."
I encourage my counterparts to gracefully step aside, to advise a “no” at the second reading.
For me, termed-out, I may no longer be sitting on the dais, it does not mean that I would not be sitting or standing in front of it.
Should Resolution 20-30 be adopted, this letter is not to be construed as an abdication.
Some Boards and Committees currently lack members. Please consider submitting an application and PARTICIPATE!
