I cannot tell you how excited I was to see 25+ people in attendance at the Special Meeting of the CEQ on Wed Sept 16. Undoubtedly this was due, in part, to the subject matter but it brought a better perspective. I had advertised this meeting on local social media to encourage attendance. I urge the commission to provide immediate direction that all public meetings be advertised as events on the cities' social media. As well, when in-person meetings do resume, I would LOVE to see a blended in-person and virtual meeting protocol for all public meetings. This would serve to encourage diversity and inclusion of all voices in Dunedin government.
